Staged Musical and Drama Production
Dramatic production is one of the most exciting opportunities at Harford Christian School. Each spring high school students who make up the “HCS Players” have performed popular full-length classic productions, such as Cheaper by the Dozen, Emma, and David Copperfield, employing full staging and period costumes. Students participate in every aspect of the production, including costumes, set construction, and make-up. Each year the talented student cast, chosen in mid-December, rehearses and prepares for over four months for the May performances. This year’s production will open on Friday evening, May 17th , and features Meet Me in St. Louis, a play set in the early 20th Century at the time of the St. Louis World’s Fair. In addition to the spring drama, foreign language students also have opportunities in musical and dramatic performances in their language of study.
